Today's society is fast, fast, fast. We want what we want, and we want it right now! Immediate Results! This is why so many jump on the band wagon of new fad diet. "You can lost 10 pounds in one week!" Well doesn't that sound amazing. Okay, time for a reality check. Whatever you are doing to lose 10 pounds in one week is NOT going to last. There is no longevity in a program like that. Think back.. what happens a week or two later? I bet you've gained the weight back and then some.
Real change comes in time. It takes work. Some of the benefits and outcomes will be delayed. You may not see or notice real physical results for a few months. Not all of the benefits are delayed, though, are they? How do you feel inside when you make healthier choices? Pretty darn good, right!? So good, that you post a picture on social media of your beautiful, healthy meal that you prepared, or about the amazing workout that you just finished - you want to share it with the world. But then maybe a week goes by, and you think - I've only lost one pound. I lost 10 pounds on keto in one week or whatever diet that you tried before. First of all, one pound is a lot! That's a huge accomplishment and you lost it in a healthy, sustainable manner. And guess what? If you continue on this path, 10 weeks down the road- you're down 10 pounds! And not just 10 pounds, you've now instilled healthier habits into your life that after 10 weeks of time are a lot more likely to stick around permanently. Now just think a year down the road! Wow!
You have to change your mindset and prepare yourself for the long-term. It's the same as running a marathon. You're not going to run at full blast in the first mile because you'll be out of gas in a couple miles - chances are you won't finish the race.
Not sure where to start? I can help!
What I teach is not a diet. It's a lifestyle. I'm going to make sure you are getting the proper amount of macronutrients on a daily basis and help you to increase your metabolism over time. What does that mean? You'll be able to eat more food than you probably do now! Yes, it takes longer than a week. Yes, it involves measuring, portion control and preparation. It takes a little work. But as time goes on.. it will be less and less work because it will become second nature - a habit. Something you do automatically.
