Abs in Neutral Spine

Updated: Mar 1, 2019

I have put together some abdominal exercises that avoid flexion, or bending forward. These exercises are appropriate for all types of bodies, but specifically safe for those with Osteoporosis, active disc issues such as bulging discs or degenerative discs, or any other condition where flexion should be avoided. In this brief workout, the spine is kept primarily in a neutral position.

These are just as challenging if not more than typical abdominal exercises! There are a couple that are more advanced - if you are not feeling them, just do more of the previous exercise.

You will need a mini stability ball and a yoga block for this workout.
