Planks: Proper form and variations

A few benefits of the Plank:

  • Improves balance

  • Improves posture

  • Improves core definition and performance

  • Decreased risk of spinal injury (because you are strengthening all the muscles around your spine!)

In this video I go over proper plank form and give some fun variations for both a forward plank and a side plank. You can start with a basic plank and progress yourself to the other variations as your strength improves. I use a mini stability for a prop for a couple of these variations. Some of the exercises require only body weight, so there is something for everyone!
